Eighteen-year-old Hopeland Conner believes she’s just another ordinary teenager. She’s recently graduated high school and isn’t sure what she wants to do with her life. After getting a part time job at the local antique store and discovering a mysterious mirror, she’s transported into another world, one very different from her own. Among the ruins in this post-apocalyptic version of Earth, there are demons, magic, and an evil that rules over all: The Horseman.

 

After encountering newfound friends and discovering that she herself can use magic, Hope must learn how to control her abilities and determine whether or not to use them to help the crumbling world around her, meanwhile wondering if she’ll ever get back home to her own world.
